Further Education Workshops
LawEd’s e-learning interactive course “The Law Uncovered” and onsite tailored workshops are available to all Youthreach learners throughout Ireland.
Our online course and workshops will give the learner skills and confidence to participate fully in society and progress with a brighter future, educated in their rights and our legal system.
The course will give the learner an increased interest in their democratic rights, understanding of both the criminal and civil law system that relates directly to their everyday lives. We aim to create active citizenship and a lifelong learning experience for the learner.
Everyone needs to know the law not just lawyers is LawEd’s motto and we are unique service provider in that we break down all the legal terminology misconceptions around the law and make it applicable and interesting to teenagers/young adults lives today.
How will the learner engage?
The learner will engage through 8 interactive modules and also have a toolkit to hand at all times which will have a glossary of terms, videos, webinars, pdf documents and FAQ’s.
The e-learning course is highly interactive using animation, high end graphics, imagery, a virtual town and family and a narrator Professor Kit Woods.
They will be asked to engage with a case scenario throughout each module, activation questions which tests their understanding on each topic and also quick takeaways on what they have learnt from each module.
At the end of the course they will be asked to complete a quiz and a Certificate of Achievement will be issued on completion.
The learner can also participate in deeper learning with pdf documents, options for live webinars and related videos.
At all times we can report back to the head adult in charge if a student isn’t participating or completing their online course work.
