LawEd emerged from Kates vision and passion to bring the world of law into our classrooms.
LawEd’s mission is to educate and lay bare the misconception around our legal world - ‘taking the law further’. LawEd breaks down complex legal terminology and fear to help todays teenager, young adult and adult learner equip themselves with essential knowledge and life skills around the fascinating world of law. We feel that everyone needs to know the law not just lawyers!
Over the past 10 years, LawEd has become one of Irelands premier providers of law workshops and tailored career advice (CareerEd).
We have more than 10 years’ exemplary experience on the people side of the profession as an educator, trainer and content maker. We continuously strive to create new content and learning outcomes to move with the accelerated changes in all aspects of the law.
LawEd is one of the first providers to deliver blended learning workshops and e-learning courses. We have a one of its kind e-learning interactive law course for teenagers and young adults “The Law Uncovered”.
We work with transition year students, senior cycle students, leaving cert applied, LCVP, Youthreach, and also tailor workshops to junior school students (short courses) in all aspects of the law. LawEd is currently in 81 schools across 12 counties based nationwide.
Additionally, unlike many career coaches in the market, Kate is a lawyer herself. She understands every part of the career journey as this is her niche area. She has studied and worked in the legal field for well over a decade so she gets law firm culture and the opportunities that one can have with their fantastic law/humanities degree.
CareerEd provides specialist advice in the legal career market to secondary school students, undergraduate and postgraduate students and we are a niche service provider in this area.
