Cliona Quillinan is a Consultant with LawEd. She is a graduate from the Law Society of Ireland and was admitted onto the Roll of Solicitors.
She successfully completed a Masters Degree in Public Law (L.L.M.) 2.1 Honours with a First Class Honours in her Thesis on Educational Rights for Children with Severe and Profound Disabilities from The National University of Ireland, Galway.
She successfully graduated from The National University of Ireland, Galway with a Bachelor of Letters of Law degree (LL.B) 2.1 Honours and a Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) 2.1 Honours specialising in Legal Science and Economics.
Her training was completed in Molloy Seymour McLoughlin Solicitors in Galway which is a very successful general practice in Galway city. She specifically trained in the areas of Conveyancing, Probate & Taxation, Commercial Leasing, Landlord and Tenant Law, Civil Litigation, Personal Injuries and Debt Collection.
She also worked in Cunningham McCormack Solicitors of Leeson Street in Dublin where she specialised in Residential Conveyancing and Licensing matters where she gained excellent knowledge in these areas.
In addition, she was employed by the Law Faculty at The National University of Ireland Galway as a tutor for final year Undergraduate Students in Employment Law where she tutored in the areas of Health and Safety; Discrimination under various grounds; Stress; Working Time and Statutory Leave Entitlements; Mergers; Unfair Dismissal and Harrassment among other areas.
Furthermore, she worked as a Legal Researcher for a number of Lecturers of the Law Faculty at The National University of Ireland, Galway where her research was party to a number of publications.
She is a volunteer with the Free Legal Advice Centre in Galway where she provides legal advice at general legal clinics to members of society who are facing a very challenging economy with very demanding problems, requiring the support and guidance offered at the clinics. She is also volunteering with Threshold, a voluntary organisation who provide an excellent service for those with housing and tenancy issues throughout Ireland.
